Well, they claim the winners aren't known by ANYONE except the
accountants until the envelope is opened (right?), but it's safe to say
that female-director Streisand wouldn't have been chosen to present if
the show producers hadn't been all but sure that Bigelow would win.
It was like that one year when Martin Scorsese finally won Best
Director, and I believe the award presenters were his old generational
buddies Spielberg, Lucas and Coppola. Like, who ELSE was going to win? |
