Meloni quitting 'Law & Order: SVU'?

Christopher Meloni has announced plans to depart Law & Order: SVU.
Speaking to Courier Mail, Meloni said that he wants to pursue theatre
and film roles after leaving the NBC crime drama later this year.
Meloni, 48, has starred as Detective Elliot Stabler on the programme
since it premiered in 1999.
"I think 12 years is enough, a good number," he said.
He added: "The writers will have fertile ground to figure out how to
arc [Stabler] out to another place - whether it's this world or the
next."
Meloni's SVU co-star Mariska Harti... said that she plans to remain on
