I'd like to remove adultery (that does not impede work performance)
from consideration -- because that would defang the so-called "religious"
right, the so-called "moral majority" and the so-called "family values"
crowd.
What's sickening is this: think about all of the adulterers, horndogs
and outed ...s. Then, look at the Republicans who are still held
in high regard, and the Democrats who resigned. I saw a list last
week, that showed the scale tipped towards Democrats resigning
(admitting moral lapses) while Republicans would "forgive".
That's what I don't like.
Yes, there are exceptions: Kennedy and Clinton (the right's favorite
whipping boys -- but who did face severe censure and court cases)
.....but name others who're still in office. Sanford, who
also was derelict from duty, and Vitter (on the DC Madam's list as
liking to be spanked while wearing diapers) are still in office.
Bennett. Ugh. I have no idea why anyone listens to him. But
hell, they love drug-addled Limbaugh, too. And falafel man O'Reilly.
And cancer-wife-leaving Gingrich.
