Nicolas Cage's latest listing of a luxury residential property was almost -- as
one of his movies put it -- "Gone in Sixty Seconds."
On Nov. 12, the Academy Award-winning actor and owner of a portfolio of
properties listed an apartment in midtown Manhattan for $9.75 million. A week
later, the home was listed as temporarily off the market on a broker listing
service, shortly after a reporter inquired about it.
The 48th-floor condominium comprises two adjacent apartments, totaling 3,550
square feet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and one powder room, according
to listing information. The Web site showed sleek, low-slung white furniture and
floor-to-ceiling windows. In 2004 and 2005, Mr. Cage paid $5.5 million for the
apartments. Cordelia Robb, of Brown Harris Stevens had the listing.
Mr. Cage is trying to sell several of his luxury properties, including a Bel
Air, Calif., house for $30 million and a home in Rhode Island for $15.9 million.
He didn't respond to attempts to reach him.
