My main beef against Clive Davis is the fact that with all the
acts he discovered/revitalized through the years, he tends to take too
much credit/control when all he has to do is sit down and listen to
the music while all these artists do the real handiwork. I heard that
he wasn't too wild about some of the songs from Kelly's last album,
but they managed to be big hits anyhow so C.D.'s got to grin and bear
it. Whether or not Kelly's latest album succeeds or not, you've got
to give her credit for giving this "80 year-old" man what for.
